Flavor Essence Store -for beverages, baking, desserts, dressings…

This is the flavor store where Flavor Essence gives you both creative and health control over how your favorite things taste.  These are very versatile unsweetened natural flavors for beverages, foods, baking, sauces, dressings, +. Often we are asked if these natural flavors contain any natural sweeteners (like stevia). No, they do not have any. Sweeteners are left up to you to apply any way that you decide. These small-batch bottlings of concentrates are just the flavor, with no additives. Nothing is done to make them “prettier” visually either. Because these are inherently stable and have no ingredients that encourage spoilage, no preservatives are needed.

Flavor Essence natural flavors are known “background” concentrates, because the strength and “personality” of each is designed to easily apply directly into beverages by “drops” or “squeezes”; and in baking – dessert projects these are easily applied by the teaspoon. (If you wanted a simple syrup, you can easily create them with these too).

Tasty fun begins when you experiment by applying any of our flavors into several different substances to see how they interact and change depending upon what you are blending them into. Then, once you “get to know” the different flavor personalities, you will advance into true creative freedom and can begin to customize your own blendings between 2 or 3 flavors.

This is a tasty mixed case that gives you one bottle each the 5 Nuts and Chocolate flavors! [Caramel Creme Brulee, Rich Dark Chocolate, Coconut, Toasted Almonds, French Vanilla Creme]. See the tasting notes below:

  • If you'd like us to substitute Milk Chocolate instead of the Rich Dark Chocolate, just tell us inside your Order Comments 🙂

Caramel Crème Brulee --Melted caramel and sweet cream custard aromas and flavors without any sugars (add your own). This is a dainty but seductively rich set of flavors. It can nicely add complexity and pleasing background flavors to any coffee, oatmeal, chocolate chip recipe, muffin mix (and even exotic alcohol based drinks that contain Baileys, Kahlua or amaretto).
The Caramel Crème Brulee natural concentrate is kind of a secret item --because it is not an off-the-shelf flavor that is either simple to mimic or commonly found as an ingredient. Creative people, chefs and bartenders will find and get new pleasures from this “secret ingredient”.

Rich Dark Chocolate --Noticeable aromas of a warm deep chocolate bar. Unlike dark cocoa or chocolate, this has the pleasantly deeper darker melted chocolate flavor without any bitterness. (Also for sensitive folks, like the other flavors this contains no sugars & does not have allergens).
This dark chocolate plays well when blended with the Toasted Almonds and Banana Foster. The small-batch Rich Dark Chocolate is the perfect background flavoring when you want to add a clean-tasting darker chocolate background dimension to your beverages and your creative food recipes.

Coconut [NEW –Batch#1 December 1, 2016] --Perfumes of fresh-shaved coconut, and ripe-clean tasting, almost “meaty coconut” flavor. As opposed to sweet, creamy or oily, our style of Coconut focusses on just the simple tropically fresh coconut meat as its primary personality trait, and then a second characteristic that gives you a piece of soft nuttiness in the finish.
[To get gourmet level unsweetened Coconut into drinks is otherwise almost impossible and in food/baking this Coconut will prove to be very practical]. This Coconut might end up being one of the most versatile of all flavors –you can easily blend this into our other flavors, or “as-is” into a very large range of drinks and enhance your creative baking projects.

Toasted Almonds --Fresh nutty and sweet aromas of almonds --without any sugars. Darker roasted almond flavors in the body. This Batch came out with some great almond nut-laden layers of flavor in the middle and a soft lingering finish. What's nice here is that it is a bit more forward than some of the other Flavor Essence flavorings, but it still has a clean daintiness with no odd aftertastes. The flavor is nicely amplified when you add your own sweeteners whenever you desire.

French Vanilla Crème --Very clean fresh vanilla with a sweet aroma and soft texture that brings about a creamy custard backdrop onto your palette. This is different than ordinary vanilla because of its dainty perfumes and flavors that will accent your coffees/teas with some finesse. (Another positive side-effect, is that this flavor and all of the others will smooth off the bight or acidity of coffees/teas and alcohol-based drinks. In all applications this will provide a soft rich background flavor). In cookie mixes, French toast batters, bread doughs and cake mixes, the French Vanilla Creme differs from extracts in that it is a more mellow and integrated component that enriches the primary flavors as a subtle backdrop to your recipe. that it is a more mellow and integrated component that enriches the primary flavors as a subtle backdrop to your recipe.

Toasted Almond exact Dunkin matcch
The flavors that I have used so far are...: toasted almond, caramel creme brulee, coconut, lemon, strawberry
And I use the flavors in...: coffee, yogurt and seltzer water
Recipe or Flavor Hints to Other People: A couple drops in plain non fat yogurt gives all the flavor and no sugars from fruits

a year or so ago I realized how much money I was spending at Dunkin Donut simplly because I loved the non sweet toasted almond flavor they have. So I started googling for an alternative and stumbled upon flavor essence through amazon. I prefer to order direct from the company, which I do now. The toasted almond is exactly the same as dunkin donuts. I'm in coffee heaven. I do the fruit flavors to add some pizazz to plain yogurt. I love this stuff

Peach
The flavors that I have used so far are...: Peach
And I use the flavors in...: water

I have been looking for unsweetened water flavorings for years. Plain water is not appealing to me. I finally found you guys and so far am loving it. I am ordering Black Cherry today to try that. The peach is a bit like peach pie flavor to me, a little creamy tasting if that makes sense. I will try the Cherry and see how that is. Thank you for making flavorings with NO sweeteners. Why the heck do people need everything sweetened? Thank you.

Amazing
The flavors that I have used so far are...: Mint, Lemon, Cinnamon, Pineapple, Black Cherry
And I use the flavors in...: Sodastream seltzer

With none of the usual, cloying sweetness, these flavors hit their marks more precisely than any additives I've ever tasted. They will delightfully surprise your palate and olfactories. Three drops per 10-oz of water is plenty, so they will save you money relative to Sodastream's flavors.

Best way to make flavored seltzers!
The flavors that I have used so far are...: Coconut, Lemon, Strawberry, Peach, Pineapple
And I use the flavors in...: Seltzer

Just wow, if you're looking for additives to make flavored seltzer from your sodastream or homebrew carbonation setup - stop looking and choose these. I'm blown away by how awesome these are, exactly what I wanted. Sodastream's brand of flavorings have an awful "syrupy" taste that spoils the drink, and all the others include sugar or a sweetener that is simply not needed. I use ~15 drops in about 900mL of unflavored seltzer carbonated to ~4bar pressure (so ~30 Oz and 60psi), usually split across 2-3 flavors. Peach/pinapple makes a great combination, as does the Coconut and a splash of lime juice (though if they came out with a lime flavor I'd probably buy that too).

Make a Mango flavor next please 🙂

The flavors that I have used so far are...: Blueberry

I use the Blueberry in iced tea and it’s great. It has no after taste like what you get in restaurants. Can’t wait to try more flavors.
