Just What it Claims To Be- Exactly as the name implies, this is a rich, dark-chocolate flavoring that adds no calories or sweeteners. My personal use of this product is in coffee, to add a mocha flavor without adding sweetness. There are flavored coffees out there that try to do this, but they do not always taste right when I use cold-brewing techniques. So I’ve used this instead and it does the trick nicely.

I got this to add to my iced tea. I don’t like sweetened flavorings. This Peach tastes like I squeezed a fresh peach into my tea. It’s not sweet. I’ve also tried it in water. Yum! It’s a nice change from plain water.

I did not know how you could come up with the regular flavors but the Secret Savories are fantastic. I especially like the Mushroom. As I have gotten older I have found eating ketchup to be harder because it is so sweet. One drop of mushroom and it is a whole new flavor. Cuts the sweet perfectly. The new Unsalted Butter is great in oatmeal, great flavor without all the guilt. You are a true artist.

I drink iced cold brew 365 mornings a year, and the weather is finally catching up to my ritual. With my most recent order, I’ve started combining chocolate and cinnamon for a Mexican chocolate iced coffee, and a blueberry-vanilla version goes down well. Key lime and vanilla also pair well for carbonated water.

You have the best “French Vanilla Cream” I use it everywhere.

I just want to say I absolutely love your product. I keep almost every flavor on hand. My family and I use them in homemade yogurt, coffee, homemade ice cream, smoothies, and baked goods. I have tried every single flavor, except pumpkin spice which I will get to try soon, and the only flavor that we didn’t love was ginger (we thought it had a weird taste). Thank you so much for creating these! And I would love to suggest peanut butter if you’re looking for new flavors.

Hi Mick, The Pistachio is really amazing in coffee!

Astoundingly delicious. I use this stuff mostly to flavor tea, where it adds a wonderful, rich chocolate taste to what was formerly a rather boring beverage. But…don’t stop there. I add it to chili and mole to give them a deep, dark undertone. I’ve used it in homemade breads, ice cream, and even a few drops in Diet Coke for an unusual, refreshing beverage treat. Fabulous flavoring.

Mick I have SO ENJOYED the Custard Creme & Cafe Latte flavor lately, basically pairing them with everything. You weren’t kidding about the Custard Creme being one of the most versatile of all your flavors. It is SO SPOT ON. Love it. You are so talented!

I use about four drops per cup of coffee, and it gives this lovely blueberry note. This would be fantastic in many recipes also. Blueberry muffins are in my immediate future.

The BEST flavoring for my coffee! We want to reduce our impact on the planet by reducing our plastic waste. We used to go to Dunkin’s twice a day! Now we changed over to reusable straws. And we are making Our own cold brew iced coffee. A key ingredient for us is the blueberry flavoring. When we found this amazing small business that makes countless flavors (sugar-free so You add the sweetener you like) we had to try it! Not only is it just as delicious as Dunkin’s, it’s even BETTER! We make large iced coffees and it only takes about 15 drops to make each one. We are now repeat customers Looking forward to trying even more flavors!

Definitely Recommend. It tastes great in coffee. Tastes like fresh raspberries.I got this to add to my iced tea because I don’t like sweetened flavorings or syrups. This tastes like I squeezed fresh raspberries into my tea. It’s not sweet. I use it in water too. For a real treat, squeeze some over ice and pour in Topo Chico Sparkling Mineral Water. YUM!!

Lovely flavor enhancer if you like fruit flavored iced coffee. 10-14 drops of this Raspberry stuff along with a splash of salted caramel syrup (30oz sized iced coffee cup) was perfect for a flavored but not overly sweet iced coffee that helps make mornings a little more tolerable. So glad I tried this flavor. I’m definitely willing to try other flavors as well after giving this one a try

Fantastic unsweetened blueberry flavor! I used to get unsweetened blueberry iced tea at Dunkin’ donuts, and finally decided it was time to look for some unsweetened flavoring to use at home. This stuff is the bomb! You can make flavored water with it, but you can put it in pretty much anything. Bake with it, or add it to a cool beer to make a blueberry lager. Highly recommend it!

This is a birthday present for my wife. She uses it every morning in her coffee and she loves it! Thank you!

We just wanted to share our absolute happiness with finding your products. Our friends are wondering how we are getting so slim and trim and really enjoying some things we had lost due to carbs. And we are loving the Savory flavors, onion and mushrooms are my favs right now but I’m experimenting with more. Banana pudding , cherry pie, blue berry raspberry tarts and though the fruit might be limited the flavor is on point. And my personal hats off to coconut I don’t like anyone’s coconut but a few drops with any fruit flavor in your coffee will make you stop going to any Coffee house make your own seasonal blend. Black Cherry– Great product – strong flavor. This is by far my husbands favorite flavoring. We’ve tried others and they pale in comparison. We use it to flavor our soda stream – neither of us drink soft drinks and this brings great flavor with out sugar and carbs. Will definitely continue to buy this!

I love your flavors, and use them several times a day, especially in my Soda Stream. I’ve just begun using the Savory flavors in a lamb stew (carmelized onion) and a tagine (roasted vegetables) – both added a nice depth of flavor. Keep up the great work! Peace, Bob

I dont know if youve ever had the dunkin donuts blueberry iced coffee, but its legendary BUT SO hard to copycat. The flavoring is no sugar like an extract. Your blueberry background flavor is the EXACT match to the flavor. Its legendary. I just purchased a 5 pack with 2 blueberry and 3 others to try. My mother was the one who originally got it for me as a gift last christmas, and ive shared it with coworkers who were also shocked. Basically I just wanted to say compliments to the chef, who im assuming is mick. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

Holy cow. Chocolate blew me away. Pineapple used to be my favorite flavor but step aside because it’s chocolate time.

I made an iced matcha latte and added the blueberry, probably added 3/4 drops (I like a lot of flavor) and it tasted exactly like I ordered it from Dunkin, if not better!

The current cost of pure vanilla extract drove me to an amazing discovery…French Vanilla Creme is now what I reach for. It gives my baked goods that “je ne sais quois”!

I use banana foster in my banana bread but I also use the essences to make my husband overnight oats every day. I use them to enhance the flavor without adding more calories. I use custard cream a lot just to develop the creaminess a little more. I love the rich dark chocolate with half and half in my morning coffee but I also love the caramel creme brûlée in my coffee as well! I use the meyer lemon in my lemon pound cake with amazing results. I just love everything about these essences!

I lovingly make homemade chocolate pudding for my father in law weekly. Instead of vanilla extract I use a squeeze of milk chocolate flavor essence to deepen the chocolate flavor. My father in law says my chocolate pudding is otherworldly!!

I started using the flavor essences so I could curb my costly DD habit. I always crave iced coconut coffee in the warm weather. Now I’m able to make it at home!

Blueberry is fantastic! like many, i bought this for coffees and teas and for those it is wonderful. I recently used it in white chocolate mousse to make blueberry mousse and in chocolate chia pudding for an added nice flavor. delicious! i look forward to ordering more flavors from this company.

“Please please, please please find a way to make savory, “”starchy”” flavors. Things like rice, corn, and potato flavored extracts would be great to have. Cooking on a low carb diet would be so much easier if I could replicate these flavors. Thank you!”

I use Caramel Creme Brulee, Butterscotch, French Vanilla Creme and Custard Creme in hot coffee and iced coffee (not together). Occasionally I’ll have Raspberry or Peach or Blueberry in black tea. And sparkling water has been a real treat lately! I love the DragonFruit, Strawberry, Peach, Tangerine & Black Cherry. No sweeteners in any of the drinks! I do occasionally use SweetLeaf stevia drops but have really gotten accustomed to having the drinks without sweetener. One of my favorite foods (I know, I’m weird) is oatmeal but I only have it rarely as it affects my blood sugar levels due to the high carbohydrate content. But when I do have oatmeal, I include Custard Creme. I tried a Pistachio, Graham Cracker and Milk Chocolate in my coffee, but I didn’t get the flavors right. Any ideas? -Starlene

I have been (shame on me!) buying Strawberry flavored Perrier as a treat from the convenience store. $1.69 or $1.79 for a bottle! So I decided to pull out my SodaStream which I got out of the habit of using. Bought a couple new 1/2 liter bottles and have been making THE BEST sparkling water flavors! The DragonFruit is really great, and I have been combining equal parts Black Cherry and French Vanilla Creme, as well as equal parts Tangerine and French Vanilla Creme. My favorite soda as child was cherry cream soda. And I loved 50-50 bars (orange popsicle on vanilla ice cream) which is what the Tangerine and French Vanilla Creme reminds me of. Two parts Pineapple and one part coconut together is really good, too! Oh, and Meyer Lemon and vanilla cream stevia tastes just like 7-up. I am still experimenting to see what tastes good. Looking forward to trying the Mango and Ginger… -Starlene

This… Lemme just stick to the facts of it. I don’t got the verified purchase because I bought it from flavoressence.com…you should too btw… I use it as a fragrance, not a flavor. It’s great in everything from soap, to lotion, to more intimate essentials, to frigging bathwater! You ever wanted to satisfy your inner 7 year old and take a bath in chocolate? A few shakes into a nice hot bath, and you’re there! You wanna smell like a candy shop? Shake a few drops onto your hair! You want your partner to perform with a vigor and frenzy you thought died, be licked and nibbled and sucked on like the rare delightful confection you know you are? Use this with some unscented lotion as your new body lotion! Men too! What..y’all think women like the smell of engine grease and gun oil with a dash of unwashed stink in the background? Or that their senses are limited to finding things like cedar and sandalwood appealing? Have you paid NO attention? What’s ya girl go for when mother nature hits? It ain’t your smelly self, it’s chocolate, right? How’d you like her to go at you like she go at that 30 piece Russel Stover she picked up from the store? Trust me, try some of this! It was so nice to receive your hand written note on my last order 🙂 Thought I would let you know how I use the flavors and a few discoveries. I originally was using your flavor just for coffee with these being my current favorites: Coconut ,Toasted almond,Pistachio Nut (new!),Raspberry, Cinnamon and Graham Cracker combined (these go really nicely together), Mint. After we had talked on the phone I realized that I could be using these to add flavor to my water bottle, don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that sooner? These are my top three right now: Mango, Honeycrisp Apple (amazing) somehow this captures the smell of the apple as well as the taste which I am guessing has to do with skin as much as the flesh. Dragon Fruit – you really outdid yourself on this one! I agree that it is actually better than the real thing, such a complex and likable flavor! I also like: Raspberry and Keylime (combined), Peach. In my next order I have a few new ones I want to try like Pineapple and Tangerine, plus Butterscotch (for coffee) Any other suggestions are welcome.I have also experimented with flavored whipped cream: Meyer’s lemon works very well, Dragon Fruit (again) is amazing, especially combined with fresh strawberries! “Hi Mick! I wanted to tell you the Dragonfruit was a HUGE hit! I didn’t think I would like it, but my son made taffy with it. I have been using it with French Vanilla to make sparkling water (and my SodaStream), so it is in my cart this time! Occasionally I sweeten my sparkling water, but usually not and it is so tasty. Oh, and Cherry Vanilla “”soda”” using the French Vanilla and Black Cherry. One of my favorites from childhood. Another favorite is strawberry sparkling soda. And Tangerine and French Vanilla Creme to make a “”50 50 ice cream bar”” flavor. And I use Peach and Blueberry for black tea. Also grabbed a couple of the new ones that were available (Ginger, and I hadn’t tried Mango). Didn’t see the Honeycrisp Apple listed on the Quicky List. As always I’ve got 4 Caramel Creme Brulee in my cart, that continues to be my top favorite for coffee, and the Butterscotch is closely behind. I am trying to get my husband to transition off soda and keep giving him more flavors to try out as I am coming up with ideas. I love the new flavors! Apple and pumpkin spice mixed together is like fall in a glass. Key lime has been giving me lots to do during this involuntary home time. I now have to try it mixed with EVERYTHING. I mixed it with coconut, pineapple, and mango last night and it transported me to a tropical island.
In all seriousness though, thanks so much for doing what you do. These drops have sneakily become a huge part of my life. At this point I couldn’t even go back to regular water haha. Stay safe up there. I’m sure you’ll be seeing another order from me soon.

I bought your mango a few weeks ago as a test to see if I could use your product and stop buying the soda stream branded flavorings. My conclusion was yours is slightly cheaper per ounce, has slightly more concentrated flavor, is in a more convenient package (easier to add a few drops compared to the soda stream bottles), plus I think is a better flavor. Win all around! I’m buying a 15 pack so I can get a few more for myself and give some away to friends. Thanks!

These are so good! I won’t use anything else for my sparking water.

I have replaced purchasing 30 bottles of seltzer per week with a soda stream and the flavors you sell. I LOVE coming up with y own mixes and eve trying to imitate the ones that are for purchase in store. I stopped drinking alcohol and this is like my own sober bar. It is so fun mixing new combos daily and Flavor Essence is by far the best I have found 🙂

I have ordered bacon and a selection of other flavors to help liven up my aged (97) father’s severely restricted liquid diet. He cannot chew, so we must try to create flavorful warm egg & milk/cream drinks That he can manage to suck up through a short straw. If we could get more savory options (garlic, Vidalia onion, basil, tarragon,) his life would be dramatically improved, as he has less and less interest in sweets as he declines.

Aloha Mick, Wow I am so in love with the Butterscotch, I mix it with Laird Hamilton’s Superfood creamer and some coconut sugar in a smoothie and it is the flavor bomb I was looking for. When I make a green smoothie, I add the Banans Foster, so I get the banana flavor without the extra carbs. I use a recovery drink that is coconut water based and toss in some Black Cherry – perfect. So now, I am totally looking forward to trying more flavors! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to trying the Graham Cracker, Maple, and Dark Chocolate.

As far as us, we are mostly using the essence for our soda stream! We do drink coffee and tea, but rarely use the flavors in the coffee as I buy flavored coffee. We do use the lemon essence for iced tea, hot tea, water!
What caught my eye was the cherry 🍒 flavor. I love ❤️ cherry, black cherry, etc. for my soda stream water. We also love root beer flavor but I don’t think you currently have right now, but maybe in the future?!
We are doing the keto diet right now so we love the fruit flavors that we can put in the water, and use for cooking. I also make homemade syrup so maybe throw in the maple flavor. We also would love to make some homemade dressings.
We already have an English toffee, chocolate, and coconut flavored liquid stevia So that’s pretty much us in a nutshell. Pretty focused on drinking the soda stream water right now since it’s summer.😃

I’m buying the blueberry because I’ve seen the reviews about it matching the DD coffee syrup they have. I did see that you had the Graham Cracker and Almond that I would like to try as well.

I’ve been drinking Hint water and it just got too expensive. This is a perfect option and much more affordable and your flavors don’t have a funky aftertaste like some do. I drink more water when its flavored but don’t have to worry about sugar with your flavors. I really appreciated the handwritten note included with the order. I prefer shopping from small businesses. I am beyond words here. This smells like walking thru a peach orchard as a small child…not a care in this world or any other. A peach orchard, in late summer, just in time for harvest. At dusk, just as the sun turns that perfect orange gold that reflects purpley off the clouds. As a child, walking thru a peach orchard with your loving parents. Just as every peach the universe will ever know blossoms into full joyous ripefullness before your nose. The angels would sing, but even they know that they have nothing to add to this.

Blueberry is excellent

The shrink-wrapping is a nice improvement over the tape-closures on the lids! Well done you. I save these little bottles when I’m done with the flavor, and then refill to take “juice shots” with me on long jogs around the neighborhood. The bottles are the perfect hand-held size, and my “”juice shot”” gets a boost from whatever flavor is left in the bottle! Thanks!”

I used these flavorings for my carbonated water (I have a Sodastream that I use religiously). I ordered these due to the paucity of non-sweetened flavor options. I was amazed at how much better these are than the soda stream flavors and even to store bought flavored water. I am going to order more flavors to try. I really like how they are not messy and much easier to use than other brands. I don’t typically write reviews but was very pleased with my purchase. I recommend two squeezes of flavoring per liter bottle.

Good flavor tidings! Okay, so the dark cherry by itself in plain soda water is great! Mixing that with a few drops of dark chocolate or vanilla makes a new great flavor. Dark chocolate and dark cherry in or iced coffee is amazing too. I’ve also added cinnamon to maple for what I call French Toast Iced Coffee, lol.
” Now, a pancake story. I usually use the mint for my morning decaf coffee – it peps me up (I don’t do caffeine anymore, lol). One day, I used maple, for a change. Now, I’m the permanent substitute for a K-8 school – I’m on salary, I report every day, and gallop off! I could be the Art Teacher, maybe English for 8th graders or handle computers for 2nd graders- who knows? That day I headed to a first grade class for a music lesson. In the midst of giving out high fives and fist bumps, a little boy grabs me and says, “”you smell great, you smell like pancakes!”” Which got six more kids to rush over and agree I smelled like pancakes, which led to a mini group hug, lol. Your maple flavor got me mucho street cred with ALL the 1st graders, which helps me every day! Keep up the good work guys!”

I started the Keto Diet and it is hard to find quality concentrated flavors for fat bombs and bulletproof coffee. And…then I found your product. I ordered the crème brulee and I was hooked. Here is my explanation for the large amounts of Custard Creme. In addition to creme soda (great call on that one, by the way), adding the custard flavor to coffee with half and half and a little cocoa makes it taste just like that General Foods International Coffee they had in the late 1980s. I think the french one, but not sure. But it sure is delicious. Hugh

Mick, thanks so much for the tangerine sample. I love it. I used it in hot tea and in my drinking water. I only use a couple drops and no sweetener and it works great for me. Right now I’m still drinking more coffee than anything so I just needed to replace a few items and mostly my chocolate!!! LOL Love also the quick service you provide. Thanking you again and especially for thinking of me when you added the sample, the minute I opened it, it reminded me of my childhood in Florida and all the fruit that was always readily available to eat off the trees.

“How exciting! I have wondered why orange hasn’t been part of the collection. How interesting which flavors prove harder to pin down than others. I still haven’t quite figured out how to work with the lemon–I’m not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I find that any amount I use it in (and I have ONLY used it to flavor sparkling water) that it tends to smell/taste a bit perfume-y. Realizing this makes me want to try it in smoothies/baking and see how it goes. I find that the pineapple seems to function similarly to vanilla in my sparkling waters–it brings out the other flavors that are more subtle. (I don’t know if you remember, but you gave me that tip a long time ago. I am still using it!) One of my favorite sodastream drinks lately is 1/2 tsp raspberry, 1/2 tsp pineapple, and 1/2 teaspoon blueberry for one full bottle of carbonated water. Delicious! I have also been living off of a really great unsweetened iced tea: about 10 drops of maple, 2tbs of half and half, and the rest unsweetened iced tea. I am amazed how much sweetness the maple brings out of the cream. I have seriously been drinking that every day for weeks. As much as I love all the fruity ones for my sparkling waters, I think your maple is my favorite flavor out of all of them. It hits EXACTLY what my tastebuds “picture”” when I think of maple.”

Thank you for the great tip on the breath fresheners. I have been really surprised how long they’ve lasted. We use them pretty frequently, and there’s still a lot left. Hi Mick! I just wanted to send you a quick message letting you know how much I LOVE your flavorings. I have a lot of health issues, mainly with my kidneys and bladder, so I need to drink a lot of water throughout the day, around 96 ounces. Anyway, I was getting so tired of drinking plain water. For a long time I added lemon juice, but the acid was effecting me negatively. I tried several different flavorings from the store and they all had that artificial sweetener taste, which I can’t stand. I went to Amazon to search for a specific water my local grocery store carries and couldn’t find it, but your flavorings came up. I decided to give them a shot and have been hooked since. They are just so great!!! And they are reasonably priced, which is another huge plus in my book. Last time I ordered, May I think, you included a free bottle of the Pineapple and told me to mix it with the coconut…it is awesome that way! Thank you for the free bottle and for the recommendation!

These flavors are obviously a labor of love for the creator/owner of the shop (“Flavor Essence”). The creator/owner (Mick) included an informational packet with handwritten notes, including creative descriptions and notes about how he developed each flavor. In particular, I found perfect ultimate heaven in a recipe that I’ve been tweaking for months now. Your BLACK CHERRY flavor took my Black Forest dessert (parfait/pudding type) over the top to absolute ambrosia. My recipe is sugar-free black cherry gelatin, a little bit of malic acid (the fruit acid naturally occurring in cherries) for tartness, some dark cocoa (half “alkalized” black cocoa, half dark dutched cocoa), some chocolate-flavored stevia, your BLACK CHERRY flavor, and a sprinkle of white aspartame on top for snowy finish on the chocolate/cherry mountains. Just amazing, sugar free, I was in absolute heaven, thank you so much. You gave me “creative control,” just as you wrote! I love that you call it “plump/ripe perfumes and soft/chubby cherry flavors”, that is excellent. “Chubby!” “Flavor Essence” is truly gifted with flavors and with descriptions. 🙂 Thank you.

I am also in love with your BANANAS FOSTER flavor! Oh my god, the aroma! It is amazing. I use it in a smoothie. The recipe is frozen banana sugar-free gelatin, refrigerated banana sugar-free gelatin, some coconut-flavored sparkling water, your BANANAS FOSTER flavor, and then stevia or aspartame to taste, and sometimes just a small bit of malic acid (the acid naturally occurring at low levels in bananas). Flavors are all great. Ordered two packs of five for a Christmas gift for my wife who loves flavored seltzer. All flavors we tried are great. No sugar or fake sweeteners. Only complaint is no pineapple flavor which my wife loves. Had to order from a competitor.

Ordered a 5 pack twice and highly recommend. Soda stream has few flavors, most have sugar substitutes (ick). Flavor Essence renewed by love of the soda water. I’ve tried blueberry, maple, black cherry, strawberry, peach, custard, coconut and vanilla. The custard flavor and vanilla flavors are more suited to an sweeter drink like an Italian soda. I will definitely order again.

Awesome seller! Have used this already in some baking projects…..amazing! Done with store-bought extracts that stink of alcohol and offer no real natural flavor, just that chemical taste. Replace your store bought seltzer, these are the real deal

I am an avid seltzer drinker, but started feeling really guilty with the recycling bin filling up week after week with aluminum, plastic and cardboard. So I got a soda stream on sale after Christmas a few years back to cut down on disposable containers and packaging…but there was a major drop off in quality.

Product came with very good detailed instructions. I have used it in my daily tea and the flavor is wonderful. I am looking forward to using it to bake as well. Great product and great experience with the company…good instructions and no need to contact for any reason! 🙂

Cool flavor for coffee or smoothies.

These flavors are highly concentrated and deliciously authentic tasting. Five drops per 12 oz. makes coffee, soda and other beverages including carbonated water come alive! Refreshing and delightful.

I tried everything (even those awful, high fructose packets that come as sample with the soda stream – there’s no way I was going to buy them or use them as I am not asosadrinkers and don’t like a lot of chemicals or preservatives in my food/drink); from making my own ginger syrup to cane sugar flavor syrups and cocktail mixer liquids, to strained fresh fruit blends. Literally nothing compared to Polar seltzer. Until now!

These Flavor Essences from NH are the absolute closest thing I have found to the real deal and I am back to my soda stream full time. Polar will even tell you that a major component of you tasting their flavors is the smell. Well these little bottles do the trick and already have quite a variety of floavors that alomost any pallet can find one (or many, or combos) to enjoy. You get five 2oz bottles in a variety pack (you pick your own variety!) that equal 10oz (I know, I’m a math wiz) of flavor essences.

My first thought was that it is just too small to last very long…wrong! You only need 10-20 drops, and the drops are tiny, in a 12oz carbonated water bottle. I like sting flavor so I go 20 drops, but for a relative to Polar intensity I’d say about a dozen would do the trick, though some are slightly more pungent than others (by a few drops give or take).
At least try to variety pack for yourself and be your own judge. I’m confident most will agree with me. Great product, natural, and delicious.
