As an intro-Bartender experiment, let’s just play with 5 of the most basic flavors that are from our popular “water flavoring collection” –the Flavor Essence natural unsweetened concentrates of Blueberry, Black Cherry, Peach, Raspberry and Strawberry.
Especially when you are already using the actual fruit itself within a recipe, the Flavor Essence concentrates will always add more depth, more ripeness and more delicate character to your drinks.
Blueberry Flavor Essence as a secret cocktail ingredient:
Just a couple of “shakes or drops” of flavor concentrate, (stirred in well) will transform your cocktails.
- Clear Blue Sky Spritzer: Combine blueberry flavor essence, vodka, fresh lemon juice, and soda water for a light and refreshing cocktail. Garnish with a sprig of mint and blueberries.
- Blueberry Pie Martini: Muddle fresh blueberries with simple syrup in a shaker. Add blueberry flavor essence, gin, and dry vermouth. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a blueberry skewered on a rosemary sprig.
- Blueberry Lavender Fizz: Infuse gin with lavender for a few days. Combine blueberry flavor essence, gin, fresh lemon juice, and egg white in a shaker. Dry shake, then add ice and shake again. Strain into a Collins glass and top with club soda. Garnish with fresh lavender and blueberries.
Black Cherry Flavor Essence as a secret cocktail ingredient
